Difference between Google Bard AI And Open AI’s ChatGPT, Who will lead in near future?

Currently, a very buzzword around us is ChatGPT. This a new addition to the technology world which is based on Artificial Intelligence.

Open AI is the producer of ChatGPT. OpenAI is an American artificial intelligence (AI) research laboratory consisting of the non-profit OpenAI Incorporated (OpenAI Inc.). OpenAI conducts AI research to promote and develop friendly AI in a way that benefits all humanity.

On other hand, Tech giant Google announced to make of their own AI-based Chatbot Bard AI a few days ago.

Chat Bot is an AI-based system where a user finds a relevant solution by asking for it. When a user asks a question, the chatbot analyses the data stored in it and shows the perfect solution.

The basic difference between Chatbot and a Search engine is, search engines use surface web data to show the result, but a chatbot uses data stored in its database. For this, search engines always show various related information to the question. but chatbots give limited answers.

We know google as a search engine. Google is the market leader in the search engine sector.

ChatGPT's success already attracts Microsoft. They make a billion-dollar investment in the OpenAI project for the third phase and include ChaGPT in their search engine Bing. By these now bing will show results in association with AI.

Alphabet Inc, the parent company of Google, announced on Monday that it will create a chatbot service and more artificial intelligence for its search engine as well as developers, in response to Microsoft Corp MSFT.O's rivalry to lead a new wave of computing.

So this is now going to be an AI war between Google and Microsoft.

In other news, Baidu Inc. of China announced on Tuesday that it would complete internal testing of a ChatGPT-style project called "Ernie Bot" in March, joining a worldwide competition as interest in generative artificial intelligence (AI) grows.

Let's look at the distinctions between Google Bard AI and Chat GPT.

  • Bard will gather information from online sources and data that are already accessible. Bard will have access to the most recent information and be able to deliver more up-to-date information, whereas Chat GPT's knowledge is restricted to events through 2021.
  • Bard will have an advantage against Chat GPT, which is supported by Microsoft because it will have access to a wealth of data and be coupled with Google's search engine.
  • Google's Bard AI is supposed to give users more accurate information compared to Chat GPT, which has a tendency to invent facts and embellish stories. Bard AI has an advantage over other AI platforms like Chat GPT in terms of the depth and breadth of its data because of Google's enormous data collection.

Google is strengthening its service, while Microsoft is doing the same for Bing by integrating OpenAI's capabilities into it.

LaMDA, Google's artificial intelligence, is the brains behind the new chatbot. LaMDA produced language with such competence that a corporate engineer last year referred to it as sentient, a claim that the tech giant and scientists universally rejected.

In a demonstration of the service, Bard allows users to give it a prompt but warns that its response may be improper or wrong, just like its rival chatbot. The demo revealed that it then provided three bulleted responses to a question regarding the findings of a space telescope.

In order to serve more people and improve based on their comments, Google is using a version of LaMDA that uses less processing power.

ChatGPT already cross some milestones like explosive growth, with UBS analysts reporting it had 57 million unique visitors in December outpacing potentially TikTok in adoption.

Additionally, starting the next month, Google intends to provide businesses and creators with technology tools, initially powered by LaMDA and eventually by other AI.

So, though currently, ChatGPT is ahead in the race but it is hard to guess if google taking the lead in AI bot sectors also.
